Kate Hudson

Hudson was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Academy Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson, an actor comedian, actor and musician.Her parents divorced when she was just 18 months old and she and her older brother and actor Oliver Hudson, were raised in Snowmass, Colorado, and Pacific Palisades, California by her mother and her mother's longtime partner actor Kurt Russell.Hudson's roots are Italian (from her maternal grandmother), Hungarian Jewish (from her maternal grandmother),and the rest is a mixture of English and a little German.She was raised Jewish; like her mother, she also practices Buddhism.Hudson has declared that her biological father "doesn't know me through a hole in the wall" and that she considers Russell her father.Hudson has claimed that her mother was "the person I've learned the most from, and whom I look up to as someone who's led her life in a way that I can aspire to". [14] She has four half-siblings. Emily and Zachary Hudson, from her biological father's marriage to actress Cindy Williams; Lalania Hudson as a result of his affair with a woman of another gender; and Wyatt Russell, from her mother's relationship with actor Kurt Russell.In 1997, she was a graduate of Crossroads which was a college preparatory school in Santa Monica. She was accepted to New York University but decided to pursue acting instead of studying for a degree.
