Rachel Keller

RachelRachel Keller is a fictional character from The Ring film series. The character created by Rachel Keller was invented by Ehren Kruger. Naomi Watts plays the character. Rachel is required to look into the background of Samara Morgan when her son develops an unidentified illness. Ruth asks Rachel Keller who is an investigative journalist, to discover the reason for Katie's death. Rachel learns from her that Katie was in good health and that she found Katie's disfigured corpse inside the closet. Katie's friends tell Rachel about the legend behind the tape with the curse and the story of how Katie's friend Becca was confined to an institution due to Katie's tragic death. She also discovers Katie's boyfriend, as well as two of her buddies died in bizarre accidents on the same night at 10 pm. Rachel travels to Shelter Mountain Inn and stays at Cabin 12, the identical cabin that Katie and her friends watched the videotape that was cursed. Rachel finds the tape and after it is finished it starts to ring. Rachel hears a voice utter "seven days". Rachel is referred to Noah Clay as a video analyst by her ex-boyfriend. Rachel finds out later that Aidan, Noah's son, was watching the tape when Noah was calling her. He informs Rachel that the tape is believed by Rachel. Rachel examines the tape to discover the exact location of the lighthouse. It was located on Moesko Island. Anna Morgan was a horse breeder cursed appeared on the tape. After further investigation, Rachel discovers Anna had an adopted daughter, named Samara and she had the ability to create disturbing images in the minds of individuals including animals, people and even objects. Rachel confronts Anna's widower Richard. Richard makes Rachel go away as soon as she begins asking questions about Samara.
